The
Baltic Cultures program gives you the possibility
to get to know the 3 Baltic States in a new and
exciting way. During the school year via lectures
and discussions we will travel through three countries
and three capital cities. As time passes the Baltic
States are leaving behind their associations with
the old Soviet Union. |
The Baltic countries
are now members of both the EU and NATO. The Baltics
is a successful region with a rich cultural life,
ancient traditions and an interesting history.
The results of re-building
and restoration of the old can be seen everywhere.
Baltic countries have a rich and exciting history.
In 1600 Riga was Sweden's biggest city and you can
see and feel that in all Baltic countries Swedish
heritage is still alive. How does the everyday life
look in Baltic countries? How do the elderly live
and what hopes do youth have? How does the future
look for Baltic States? All of this and a lot more
will be discussed in our lectures.
Studies here take turns
with practice and study trips to Baltic. Different
lecturers participate in a teaching process. And there
is also a possibility to study Baltic languages. During
the school year we organize one special week for each
of the countries, where national food is served and
where there is an opportunity to try sample and experience
different things associated with these countries.
