SOCIAL SCIENCE-JURIDICAL PROGRAM


 


The goal for this line is that after finishing it students would understand Finland's court system better, at the same time political and social course of events through studying jurisprudence and social science.

The course is designed according to the requirements of entrance exams in university. Studies by that means are specially inclined to prepare for high school studies in law and government science faculties.

-you would like to prepare yourself for studies at Swedish speaking university

I Obligatory subjects
Private rights: Civil- and trade rights, family- and left property rights. Public rights: Government constitution foundation and administration rights. National economy: Introduction in national economy; markets, business cycles, inflation, commerce, economy politics etc.

II Optional subjects
Penalty- and process rights Theory lectures about penalty and process rights. We even visit Hangö court and observe their work. We have discussions and follow up the real cases.

III Other sectors
Labor law: Introduction to job agreements, collective wage agreements and work security rights
International rights: Insight in international human rights system functions, paying a special attention to European human rights convention. Land and water rights: real estate education, territory planning, construction etc.

Already several years Evangelical folk high school in southern Finland is giving an education which prepares students to be in a condition to manage entrance exams in law faculties.
